On 15th June 2024, MUSYO organized the Sisters’ Community Engagement Day in Ndirande Township, Blantyre. This annual event focuses on giving back to the community and living out the values of compassion and service that MUSYO stands for.
This year, over 50 participants joined forces to make a tangible difference in the community. Together, we:
- Cleaned Up Streets: Volunteers worked tirelessly to collect trash, recycle materials, and beautify public spaces in Ndirande.
- Supported Local Schools: We delivered educational supplies, including books, pens, and teaching materials, to underfunded primary schools in the area.
- Empowered Women Entrepreneurs: Through small business workshops, we supported local women with tools and ideas to enhance their income-generating activities.
The event concluded with a reflective session where participants shared their thoughts on the importance of service. One volunteer said, “Giving back isn’t just about helping others—it’s about growing as individuals and strengthening our bond as a community.”
This day was a shining example of what can be achieved when faith and action come together.
